We are preparing tonight for the Lights Switch On Gig in East Leake. It’s always still worth coming along to rehearse even if you’re not doing the actual gig as these songs will be sung again (and again!)
Please wear as many Liberty T shirts and Hoodies as possible as we will be putting in another order. If you’re unable to attend the rehearsal, please ask a Beryl to order on your behalf! We won’t have time to order any more before Christmas…….
We’ll start with the easier stuff please.
Let’s do some more work on Somewhere only we know – we can then decide if it’s ready for the Switch On.
We’ll split for the break so first I’ll work with the green/blue section on O Holy Night and Away in a Manager, then we’ll swap over.
We’ll finish the evening with Do they know it’s Christmastime and Last Christmas. I want to make sure we have a level of ‘performance’ about these songs. I want us to connect with our audience and help them feel the joy that we all feel with our singing!
We’ll be singing outside at the Switch On and will dress accordingly. If it’s dry and not utterly freezing, we can wear hoodies if not, do please wear your coats! Reindeer antlers, santa hats and angel halos are very welcome. In the words of the song….. It’ssssssss Chriiiistmas!
