A FEW WORDS

About Us

LIBERTY SINGERS

I am Kari, a community choir leader, I am delighted have opened a choir in East Leake!

Kari in action!

Following the success of the West Bridgford choir, I have decided to share the joy of singing together to a new area on a new night.

The West Bridgford Liberty Singers launched 5 years ago and has around 160 singers meeting fortnightly on Mondays. We’ve sung at many local community events as well as the Tower of London and the Nottingham Albert Hall. We are an inclusive, happy choir singing original arrangements of some amazing songs.

The East Leake Liberty SIngers will also be singing pop songs you’ll know and love from across the decades, all taught by ear and with no sheet music. There will be no auditions – all that we ask is that singers are over the age of 16 and like singing.

Rehearsals will be held at the newly refurbished Costock Road Pavilion on (roughly) alternate Thursday evenings. Door open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start and we’ll sing until 9.30pm with enough time to have a break and connect as a community. There is ample parking at the venue and a bar downstairs for purchasing refreshments.

Online subscriptions will be £15 a month, every month, including any breaks we take. This covers access to harmony recordings, access to rehearsal recordings as well as any gigs or concerts we may choose to take on.

Once registered, you’ll be invited to a private Facebook group for members only. It’s not essential to join this group but we would highly recommend it – this is where most of the communication will come from in terms of session planning and information.

Rehearsals

The East Leake Liberty Singers meet (roughly) every other Thursday from 7.30pm-9.30pm at the Costock Road Pavilion in East Leake and  we learn and sing pop songs from across the decades.
